Safe-Guarding training was conducted for members of the LDSN Organization on the 14th of March, 2024.

The training was conducted by Mr Promise Unwene, the Vice president of the Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria an expert in the field of Safe-Guarding, and was attended by all the LDSN staff.

The training covered topics such as:

- Understanding the concept of Safe-Guarding

-Abuses and their types.

- Creating a safe and supportive environment

- The roles and responsibilities of staff members in Safe-Guarding

- Recognizing and responding to abuse and neglect

- Working with children and the vulnerable.

-Setting protocols for handling abuses.

-Having Records of previous abuse incidents.

Mr promise Unwene; the facilitator promises that the training will be a continuum.

Mrs Ekaette Okpon, a staff of LDSN gave a vote of thanks on behalf of all the LDSN Staff.
