At the Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria (LDSN), education is central to our goal. We are dedicated to delivering specialized educational programs that cater for the unique needs of people with learning disabilities.
This pre-school class is designed for children as young as seven years old and focuses on early learning. It consists of pre-reading, pre-writing, and communication skills development. We provide a safe and supportive environment for anyone who may struggle with communication. We have taught some students who cannot talk or communicate early before the class.
Students in this category have advanced beyond the foundational class. It covers primary-level subjects and builds on pre-skills learned in lower school. We make certain that pupils who have previously attended school receive additional support to close any gaps in their learning.
The advanced class is the highest level of our educational class, covering primary school curriculum, some junior secondary school subjects, and vocational skill training. We select and develop students with specialized abilities, providing entrepreneurial development and financial independence to assist them in establishing their own business.
To accommodate different learning styles, our devoted teachers use a variety of instructional methods. Sign language interactive sessions, writing and civic education, storytelling, physical exercises, word spelling, singing, writing, and language therapy are some of the methods used in passing knowledge to the students
We prioritize the overall well-being of our students. Physiotherapy classes are a frequent element of our curriculum to help students develop physically.
Furthermore, we promote a sense of belonging and self-confidence, enabling an environment in which students may grow both intellectually and emotionally.
